Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Please be aware we can only accept new business online. With the exception of life insurance, customers can’t currently buy insurance over the phone.

Existing customers: We’re ready and able to help, but at times we can be busy. Please bear with us.

Use our virtual assistant if you have questions about your renewal or want to make a change to your policy. If your policy is due to renew in the next week and you haven’t opted for auto-renewal, please call us. If you have opted for auto-renewal, check your insurance still meets your needs, you don't need to contact us in order to renew.

Customers who can’t pay now as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, call us - we want to help you.

Terms and conditions

Our cancellation and complaints procedures are detailed in the policy and our cancellation procedures are as follows:

If you cancel your policy before it starts you will get a full refund* for both the Car Insurance and Breakdown cover, where selected.

If you cancel within 14 days of cover starting or you receiving your documents (whichever is later) we will return any premium paid less a charge for the number of days for which cover has been given for your Car Insurance and give you a full refund* for Breakdown cover, where selected.

If you cancel after 14 days, we will return any premium paid less a charge for the number of days for which cover has been given and an administration fee of £48.16 for Car Insurance and £11.20 for Breakdown cover. All figures quoted include Insurance Premium Tax where applicable.

* If you have made a claim or one has been made against you during the period of cover, you will not receive a refund.

We don’t charge administration fees for mid-term changes to your car policy, but if you want copies of your documents by fax, first class or special delivery, there may be a charge.

Automatic renewal

Your payment details will be securely stored to enable continuous payment authority. We may use these details to automatically renew your policy next year. This only applies to payments by direct debit, Visa, Visa Delta, or Mastercard.

We will ensure you’re sent a renewal invitation before taking any payment. Please call us if your circumstances change or you don’t want us to automatically renew your policy.

No Claim Discount

Your No Claim Discount must

  • have been earned in the UK (including Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland)
  • be issued by your previous UK insurer
  • be written in English
  • be shown in years and not as a percentage
  • be in your name as the policyholder and;
  • not be in use on any other vehicle

We may be able to automatically obtain proof of your No Claim Discount.

Driving Other Cars

Driving Other Cars (DOC) provides Third Party Only cover and is restricted to policyholders only and will not apply to policyholders aged under 25 and/or policyholders engaged in the motor trade. Please refer to your Certificate of Motor Insurance for confirmation that you have this cover, or call us on 0345 246 8701.

Breakdown Cover

Where it is selected, Breakdown cover will not apply to vehicles that are broken down or unroadworthy when cover is taken out, or vehicles that are ever used to carry things or people for money; for example, as a courier service or taxi. Please read the Breakdown cover policy summary (which can be found at the start of the Breakdown cover policy document) before purchasing this product.
