7 easy steps to your Direct Line Loan

1. Use our calculator to work out how much you want to borrow (the calculator provides loan examples).

2. Apply online, which takes about 15 minutes. We will email you to confirm we have received your details.

3. We aim to have a decision on your loan within 10 working hours of receiving your application.

   If your application is unsuccessful, we will email this decision to you so as not to delay your search for an alternative loan offer. We will also confirm this decision to you by letter.

   If your application is successful, we will call you to confirm your loan details and discuss how soon you would like your money. We can also discuss your options for protecting your loan repayments.

4. If you have not heard from us after 10 working hours this means that we haven't been able to get hold of you, so please call us after this time on 0845 300 5988. We're here 8am-9pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday.

5. If your decision is successful we will issue your agreement the next day. Once received, please read, sign and return this document to us.

6. Once the agreement has been returned and our final checks have been completed, funds will be transferred into your chosen bank or building society account. This will take either 1 working day, if you choose the Express Next Working Day Transfer option, or 4 working days if you choose the alternative option.
