UNITE have confirmed as of 1100 hrs GMT on Friday 12 March 2010 that their BA members will strike from Saturday 20 March for three days and from Saturday 27 March for four days.
Customers are advised that there may be delays and cancellations between 20 and 23 March and 27 and 30 March.
Policies that are purchased on or after 1100 GMT on 12 March 2010 (when the notice of the proposed industrial action was announced by UNITE trade union) will not provide cover for travel delay / trip abandonment in relation to BA holidays and travel during the affected period. This also applies for existing Travel Insurance customers booking holidays/flights after 1100 GMT on Friday 12 March 2010 that involve flying with BA. This applies for the affected strike dates only.
The travel delay benefit will be available for all policies purchased before 1100 GMT on Friday 12 March 2010
