Thomas Cook has confirmed it has ceased trading. As a result, from 23 September 2019 all holidays and flights have been cancelled and are no longer operating. Further information and advice is available on the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) website at https://thomascook.caa.co.uk/

If you’re already abroad, the CAA is making arrangements for you to return home to the UK on a new flight. These new flights will not cost you anything extra.

Flight only bookings

Your Direct Line single and multi-trip travel insurance policy (excluding home plus policies) provides cover for airline and end supplier failure, which fall outside the Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL). This means if your flight booked directly with Thomas Cook cannot be reimbursed through any other source (for example if you purchased your tickets by credit or debit card, you may be protected under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 or under your bank’s charge-back rules), you can contact International Passenger Protection (IPP) to submit a claim.

IPP administrates the End Supplier Failure cover provided within your Direct Line Travel Insurance, which provides cover for the Financial Failure of either an Airline or an End Supplier. Details of how to claim through IPP are shown below.
