• Comprehensive Car Insurance
  This covers you if third parties – other people – claim against you for injury or damage to their car or property. It also covers your car if it is stolen or damaged by fire. Plus it includes accidental damage cover for your car and cover for personal belongings, medical expenses and personal accident cover. It is subject to selected levels of optional cover. With this type of car insurance, your premium may be higher but you will have the greatest peace of mind in case of emergency;
• Third Party Fire & Theft Car Insurance
  This covers you if other people claim against you for injury or damage to their car or property, and in the event of damage by fire and theft; and
• Third Party Only
  This only covers you if other people claim against you for injury or damage to their car, property or person. It is the minimum level of car insurance offered by Direct Line. Please call us if you would like a quote for third party only car insurance.

There are also certain extras that apply to Direct Line car insurance. These include no claims discount for all our applicable customers, the opportunity to keep your premium down with voluntary excess payments, optional guaranteed hire car and optional legal protection.
