Named driver no claims discount
Direct Line was the first major insurance company in the UK to recognise named drivers’ no claims history. This means that a named driver on your Direct Line car insurance policy can transfer their no claims history when they take out a Direct Line policy of their own.

Matched no claims discount
Allows you to apply the number of claim free years on an existing Direct Line policy to a new policy for another car and we will apply a discount dependent on that number of years. Company car no claims discount
Claim-free driving of a company car can also be taken into account on a Direct Line policy. If you would like to apply claim-free driving years to a new Direct Line policy, please call us. This is only available for drivers aged 25 years or older who have had sole use of a company car, which has now been relinquished. We require up to date proof of claim-free driving on the company’s headed paper.

If you insure more than one vehicle with us, you will receive a discount on the second and any subsequent vehicles. It is also available if other people in the household have car insurance with Direct Line, or a driver named on your policy insures their own vehicle with Direct Line.
