Customers with special requirements
Direct Line has a variety of facilities in place to ensure that as many customers as possible can use our services.
As well as the Textphone service, Direct Line also supports the Typetalk service for people with communication difficulties. To use Typetalk, you will need to prefix the number 18001 before the number you wish to dial. For example: 18001 + [area code] + [number].
Information about our mortgages is also available in braille, in large print and on audio tape, on request.
Maximum call charge from a BT landline is 4p per minute. Calls from other networks may vary.
